If you've ever wanted to buy a robot vacuum now is the time. CNET's top-rated models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday and can save you up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping using apps-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba J7+, IRobot's smartest robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its greatest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes, and the pet waste that most other robots can't avoid (and often slough through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of an object it encounters so that you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot to mop we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt with ease while leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't clean in areas that you don't would like. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it with a voice.
Its design is a step above the competition, with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robotic than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt removal System is also self-emptying which will cut down your cleaning time.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one location rather than sending it scattering all over the floor. It was able to collect small gravel, sand and even a tiny bit of grit. The majority of robots cannot do this. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair.
While it's not quite as efficient as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs The j7+ is still a solid option for those who need mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not too expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly.
While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however we've found it be less reliable than other apps that use robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates and it can be difficult to determine if they are working until you see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking to purchase a robot vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be one that is a hybrid. This kind of robot usually includes a built-in water tank, meaning they can both mop and vacuum your home at the same time. They also come with a variety of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The downside is that they can be pricey at full retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.
Roborock has some of our favorite robot vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. It's their most affordable auto-empty model. While it's not equipped with some of the premium features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great choice if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes down to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in getting rid of dust bunnies which is a place which many robot vacuums often fall short. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is excellent too, with very little missed corners and along walls.
Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled using the buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map or change the room's label.
If you choose to purchase the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto-empty dock designed specifically to make this robot simple to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once it's installed, emptying the bin is done easily. It comes with a huge LCD screen, which is useful in setting up schedules and changing settings. This isn't a necessary feature for the majority of people however it will aid in keeping the track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot with ease.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly clever in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is one of the top in the market however, it's costly.
The base station is attractive and is hidden when it's not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. But the station's main selling feature is the way it automatizes many tasks and functions that most other robots leave to you. It can keep clean and dirty water and also electrolyze and warm the water. Most other robovacs will require you to do this.
Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's the few robovacs I've tested that does a really good job of picking up debris on bare floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly in the area of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren’t as reliable as other robovacs. This means it is prone to getting stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms of the house. It also can't climb stairs like other competitors and doesn't come with a docking station to create a clean zone for plush carpets.
Although it doesn't provide as much in the way of cleaning-related options in its app or as many shortcuts within the app as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone seeking a great all-round robot vacuum and mop that's worth the price cost.
But if you want to save some money, or just don't care about the limitations of this robotic there are many other options available with a wide range of eufy models that cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is less expensive and has many more features, like stair climbing and a full-function Dock, which provides an improved overall experience when vacuuming on plain floors, low-pile carpets and even high-pile ones.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy, a Anker company has a proven track record of creating robot vacuums that strike a good balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning on hard floors and mopping, carpets and other surfaces at a price that is affordable. It's easy to setup simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock should be placed near an outlet and have plenty of room to move.
The G30 is a compact device that measures 2.85 inches in height, which means it will be placed under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is less ostentatious than some rival models, sporting a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs an area in an arc for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.

The main characteristic that sets the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It makes use of an integrated map to make an image of the unmovable objects in its path. It keeps track of the things it has cleaned and what it is unable to access. When robot vacuum cleaner best buy to recharge, it will automatically return to its starting point and begins cleaning where it started.
The eufy G30 has its flaws however. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better built, incurs lower recurring expenses, charges faster and offers similar battery life, while providing better performance on floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It comes with a larger dust bin that does not require as much emptying. It also has boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't need emptying as often and is less prone to suffocating heavy materials such as cereal.
